A Suicide Squad extended cut was announced today on the film’s official Twitter page. They released a teaser trailer which showed new footage of Jared Leto’s Joker and Margot Robbie’s Dr. Harleen Quinzel. It appears that we may see more of the origin of Harley Quinn in the extended edition.
On today’s show, Tom and Zac discuss what they hope to see from the extended cut of Suicide Squad. Will we see a more abusive Joker and will this lead to a tonal shift in the film?
In other news, the WildStorm imprint is being revived by DC Comics. Warren Ellis will be leading the revival, according to comicbook.com. Wildstorm was founded by Jim Lee in 1992 and sold to DC Comics in 1998. The characters have been used sparingly since the New 52. The Wild Storm, Michael Cray, WildC.A.T.s., and Zealot will be among the initial titles released, beginning in February of 2017.
